The 9th International Workshop on Advanced Spectroscopy and Optical Materials (IWASOM)

The 9th International Workshop on Advanced Spectroscopy and Optical Materials (IWASOM) will take place from July 5-10, 2026. The conference will cover revolutionary technologies used in the optoelectronic and lighting industries, advanced methods of creating optical materials, nanomaterials, and metamaterials, applied in lighting technology, photovoltaics, as well as medical diagnostics and therapy.

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has granted funding of PLN 235,000.00 for the organization of the conference under the "Excellent Science II - Support for Scientific Conferences" program (project number: KONF/SN/0500/2024/02). It is particularly noteworthy that the funding was awarded this year, nearly two years in advance of the conference date, and just a few months after the completion of the previous, eighth edition.

The eighth edition of the IWASOM conference took place in July 2024 at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science at the University of Gdańsk. The event gathered outstanding scientists from around the world who presented the latest discoveries in the field of advanced spectroscopic methods applied in physics, chemistry, and materials engineering.
